The Holst Birthplace Museum is a rich resource for formal and informal learning. Find out about the life of one of Britain’s greatest composers, Gustav Holst (1874-1934), and his masterpiece The Planets in one of only two composer birthplace museums in the country. There is a wealth of original objects on show to stimulate learning, such as Holst’s piano; a fine art collection, including works by Theodor von Holst, and a selection of domestic objects in Victorian settings.
